Mission

Founded in 2012, The Aslan Project (Aslan) is a Washington, DC-based nonprofit organization that promotes equitable access to quality pediatric cancer care in low-resource settings through capacity building and advocacy. Toward this end, we work through partnerships with national governments, major hospitals, academic institutions, and nonprofit organizations to train local health professionals to recognize pediatric cancers early, diagnose them accurately, and treat them effectively and to provide families with the financial and psychosocial supports they need to enable their children to remain in treatment and to thrive after its completion.
