Mission

The Blue Butterfly Fund was formed in 2004 in memory of Bennett Sterling. While the Sterling's were going through their own journey with pediatric cancer, they became very aware of the financial burden and emotional strain that families go through when their child has cancer. The Blue Butterfly Fund provides financial assistance to these families to offset the costs associated with increase travel and living expenses, and decreased income that a family experiences in this situation. Through our thorough interview process and follow-up contact we attempt to meet each families specific needs and this also allows us offer emotional and spiritual support. We also educate the public about the needs of families who have a child with cancer.
