Mission

The George Bartol Memorial Scholarship Fund was established in 2004 by his wife and daughters. George was a dedicated soldier, father, husband, son, and brother. He proudly served his country during two tours in Vietnam and was very proud to be a Vietnam Helicopter Pilot. Education was always very important to Dad and he worked tirelessly to ensure that his three daughters had solid educations. To carry on his memory, this scholarship was established to aid a child who has lost a parent to brain cancer or a child who has a parent battling brain cancer. Children of Vietnam Veterans who have not been awarded VA Chapter 35 benefits are strongly encouraged to apply.
