Mission

TrovaNow is a non-profit corporation set up to support the PRECEDE Consortium. PRECEDE is an international consortium of the top cancer centers and researchers in the area of pancreatic cancer. It was started by Dr. Diane Simeone, a world renown pancreatic cancer surgeon and Director of the Pancreatic Cancer Center at the Perlmutter Cancer Center at NYU Langone. PRECEDE’s goal is to increase the 5-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer from 10% to 50% within the next 10 years through one of the first world-wide collaborative approaches of its kind. PRECEDE will collect and analyze data, images and bio-samples from over 4000 high risk individuals to develop an early detection program that will enable clinicians to diagnose the disease while it is still in its early stages and treatable.
