Mission
The Maryland Center at Bowie State University, Inc. was established in 1998 and attained its status as a Maryland charted, not-for-profit corporation and qualified as an independent tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the IRS Code (IRC) in 2000. The mission of the Maryland Center is to assist citizens, institutions and communities to overcome barriers involving health disparities, family, economic opportunity, social settings and education in order to optimize their potential by supporting and improving innovative and effective programs, policies and strategies.
