Mission

The mission of the Jansen Art Center is to create opportunities for the community to engage in the arts. The J is a community meeting space with many avenues for the people of our region to participate in various stages of the artistic process. By offering classes, open studio, exhibits, concerts and more, we create a place where even those who do not consider themselves artists can learn and collaborate with people of all passions and skill levels. The J developed as a destination for people to hone their skills in art forms that most are unable to explore in their homes, with equipment such as looms, pottery wheels, and large musical instruments.
