Mission

The Baobab Learning Center brings positive change, care, and development to communities in rural Mali by providing rural children with better primary and secondary education and their parents with skills training for employment. Children in rural Mali often have little access to education. BLC creates an environment that ensures the success of the children in school, empowers them & prepares them to contribute to their communities, to be good citizensy, and good stewards of nature around them. Children and women are the center of our program. Education and training are key to change and sustainable development in rural areas. We empower women through entrepreneurship at our two shea butter processing facilities and train at risk youth in vocational skills and provide internships.
