Mission

The mission of the Williamstown + Atlanta Art Conservation Centers, a non-profit institution with operations in Williamstown, MA and Atlanta, GA, is to protect, conserve, and maintain cultural heritage objects; to provide conservation examination, treatment, consultation, and related conservation services for nonprofit organizations, our 57 member institutions, and other corporations and individuals, including the general public; to conduct educational programs regarding the care and conservation of works of art and objects of cultural significance; to participate in the training of conservators; to promote the importance of conservation and increase the awareness of the issues pertinent to collections and care; and to conduct research and disseminate knowledge to advance the profession.
