Mission

The American Legion was chartered and incorporated by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic veterans organization devoted to mutual helpfulness. It is the nation’s largest wartime veteran’s service organization, committed to mentoring youth and sponsorship of wholesome programs in our communities, advocating patriotism and honor, promoting strong national security, and continued devotion to our fellow service members and veterans. Because no one should ever be without a safe place to call home – especially our veterans who have sacrificed so much – Post 107 and the Veterans Center of Hoboken are working even harder to expand our facilities and services. We are planning a 20,000 square foot addition will include18 new apartments, larger meeting space, recreation, and community event space.
