Mission

(a) To operate a variety of early childhood programs including Community Child Care and Teen Parent Child Care, in childcare centers in the Pierce County Community for children ages 4 weeks to 5 years. (b) To provide clean, safe and healthful environments in which children can learn and play. (c) To hire, promote and encourage the best qualified personnel, regardless of race, creed, religion, color, national origin, sex, age, marital status, or disability with the exception that the law requires staff must be 16 years old to work with supervision and 18 years old to be left on sole charge of children. (d) Provide orientation and on-the-job training programs and opportunities for further education.
