Mission

A Kendal affiliate, Barclay Friends was established in 1893 to serve the needs of older persons and is governed by a Board of Directors, half of whom are members of the Religious Society of Friends, or Quakers. Settled in a quiet West Chester neighborhood in Chester County, PA, Barclay Friends offers Residential Living, Personal Care, Memory Care, Skilled Nursing, and Post-Acute Rehabilitation.

Reflecting the Quaker concern for older people, Barclay Friends' mission is to continuously improve care of the aging across the continuum of services we provide. We aspire to the highest professional and humanitarian standards while providing care and services in a supportive, homelike, and compassionate atmosphere.
