Mission

Founded in March 2020, The Sammy Center believes that every single child is amazing and should be given every opportunity to reach their fullest potential, regardless of adverse childhood experiences. We live in a society where not all children are given the same chance, opportunity, or environment to succeed. Many children face a variety of obstacles that when left unsupported will lead to a lifetime of challenge and distress. This is true for those with physical, mental, and social emotional special needs, which do not receive the same support in mainstream classrooms. The Sammy Center supports these children through social emotional programming for preschool-aged children on the Wasatch Front, in Salt Lake City, Utah.
