Mission

Our wildlife rehabilitation center sees over 350 animals a year (on average) that are brought to us by concerned citizens that find them sick, injured, or orphaned. Most of these animals, after receiving excellent medical care, will be successfully released back into the wild. The animals that have permanent conditions that would prohibit their survival in the wild are not euthanized but are provided a safe, loving home with us so they can live a full and healthy life and will be added to our USDA permit to become our educational ambassadors that will help us do educational programs for the public to teach people about our native wildlife. Wilderness Trail Wildlife Center is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit proud to be a leading wildlife rehabilitation and education facility in Southeast Kentucky.
