Mission
Founded in 1983, Southside Center of Hope creates a safe, healing community where women and their children recover from substance abuse, trauma and mental illness. All of our residents are homeless women and children living in poverty. We cater to a specific demographic of the homeless population; all of our adult residents are recovering from addictions to drugs and or alcohol and increasingly we serve women suffering from mental illnesses, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and chronic health conditions. Southside Center of Hope has a nondiscriminatory policy in terms of disability, race and sexuality, religious or political affiliation; however, we primarily serve minorities.
