Mission

The Deane Center for the Performing Arts, Inc. (the "Center") is a Pennsylvania nonprofit entity incorporated in 2006. Its purpose is to promote the performing arts, to produce and present dramatic productions and orchestral and other music presentations as an educational, cultural, and nonprofit community project from its location in Wellsboro, Pennsylvania. The Deane Center’s mission is dedicated to providing a venue within Tioga County for the benefit of the community and the performing arts. The center offers access to affordable performances for area residents and visitors as well as opportunities to nurture artists of the next generation. By providing meeting and conference space, the Deane Center is also an asset for economic development in the northern Pennsylvania region.
