Mission

Sabathani Community Center’s (SCC) mission is to provide people of all ages and cultures with essential resources that inspire them to improve their lives and build a thriving community. Established in 1966, Sabathani provides critically needed comprehensive services to over 43,000 community members in South Minneapolis each year. Services are delivered in a respectful, culturally sensitive manner. Of those SCC serves, 87% are Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) and 80% live below the poverty line in the poorest neighborhoods of South Minneapolis (Central, Bryant, Phillips, and Powderhorn.)
