Mission
Blackout Melanoma was started during a painful malignant melanoma diagnosis of a beautiful young woman named Beca. During her fight she and her mother started this energetic movement to educate, advocate, and to provide resources to help secure a generation free of Melanoma. Beca lost her fight against this deadly disease, but her vision lives on. We have three programs: Education - provides resources, creates awareness, and offers preventative tips to our community. Support - Beca's Care program which provides financial assistance and support to those currently diagnosed and fighting stage III/IV metastatic Melanoma. And our Research Program provides funding to medical leaders in our community to help support prevention, discovery, and research to find a cure.
