CHABAD's CHILDREN OF CHERNOBYL (CCOC), Arranging for the evacuation and emigration to Israel of children whose health have been adversely affected by the nuclear fallout resulting from aforementioned explosion from Chernobyl and environs in order to provide for such children any and all necessary medical attention, shelter, food, education and other personal care required as a result thereof.

Immediate care to prevent minor ailments from developing into major emergencies. The most serious common illness children arrive with is disease of the Thyroid. Other diseases and treatments include bone marrow transplants and brain surgery, endocrine disorders, disorders of the digestive tract and psychological disorders. CCOC pays for all the medical care. There are two medical and dental clinics staffed by a pediatricians, psychologists, and dentists. When hospitalization or specialized care is required, the children are referred to specialists.

Criteria for evacuation - Any child living within the Chernobyl area is eligible. Sick children are given priority, but every child living within the contaminated area is considered to be at high risk.
CCOC brings doctors from the contaminated areas to the USA and Israel for medical training, and has rehabilitated orphanages in the affected areas
