Mission

Lending Hearts facilitates peer support through the use of educational and recreational activities and programs in an engaging atmosphere for children and teens with cancer and in remission from cancer. Childhood cancer patients have a difficult time juggling the life of a typical child in today's world while also dealing with the physical and emotional changes caused by cancer. Lending Hearts is how they can participate and not feel alone in their battle. It is an opportunity to interact with peers who are experiencing similar changes, an opportunity to not feel different and an opportunity to engage in educational and recreational activities and enrichment experiences. Lending Hearts' unique market and program for approaching cancer patients fills a void in the services offered to children.
