Mission

The purpose of the Fund shall be to operate for the enhancement of education at Bollinger Canyon School through collection and distribution of its funds. BCEF provides supplemental funding for essential programs and services that are not provided by the state or school district. For example, we provide in-class Teacher Aides (para-educators) in every primary classroom for 5 hours a week, fund the Performing Arts program, Art Teacher, and Computer Lab Instructor. In addition, we provide funding that allows for additional Library hours staffed with a credentialed Librarian. And finally, we provide support for the Rainbow Room program. The Rainbow Room is a place where children can learn self-esteem, self-confidence, stronger social skills, and a positive school attitude. It provides children the opportunity to share feelings and experiences while receiving support and encouragement and learning about empathy, impulse control, and emotion management, if needed.
