THE PURPOSE OF THE TRUST IS TO PROVIDE FOR THE FUNDING OF HEALTH AND WELFARE BENEFITS FROM THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF EMPLOYERS, EMPLOYEES AND ANY PERSONS ELIGIBLE TO MAKE SELF PAYMENTS UNDER THE APPLICABLE LAW.
