Mission

The mission of the Ron Brown Scholar Program is to accelerate the progress of bright, highly motivated, young African Americans into the mainstream of leadership in a wide spectrum of professions while instilling a strong dedication to philanthropy (involving leadership and community service).  The RBSP aims to be a major force in producing our nation's next generation of young people who embrace the idea that one form of leadership is service to community.  Another major tenet of the Program is sustaining a strong family bond among Scholars and between Scholars and Program staff; a lifelong network of support and friendship.
