Mission
The mission of the Black Healing Fund is to assist in the fight against the mental health and economic impact of anti-blackness racism on Black and Brown communities and to both create and directly support programs as well as individuals prioritizing the continued healing of Black and Brown communities specifically prioritizing Black communities in Snohomish County. Our work is centered on four key pillars: 1. Awareness and Advocacy; 2. Education and Empowerment; 3. Decolonizing Access; 4. Stronger Partnerships. Our major programs are: 1 Chakula Ni Lazma Food is a human right--provide emergency food; Youth Academic and Mentorship afterschool; Mental Health Outreach; Community Engagement; and Housing and Utilities Services Akazu. We also have two additional projects: Agapira An annual winter jackets drive through which we provide winter coats to our community members and Our Annual Back To School Drive through which we provide back to school supplies to our community.
